Doug K A wonderful gem of a movie. I don't think it is a stretch to say this movie could have been Reality Bites for Millennials if it was more widely known, as it does a great job of capturing that moment in time and that time in one's life. The opening credits alone were more interesting and more moving than the billion dollar Marvel movie I had just given up on. I look forward to everything Noel Wells offers us in the future. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 12/21/23 Full Review Alexander G Funny, so many people from the audience give such bad reviews for this little gem of a movie. It's not at all fulfilling your expectations. We never know what will happen next. All characters are kind of fucked up and that's what we all are. I loved it. Found it authentic, at times funny, at times sad, but always felt connected. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 12/20/23 Full Review Coffee L One of the worst movies ever. Such a waste of time. Extremely boring and very predictable, the character is so freaking annoying. I'm so surprised it got such a great rate on rotten tomatoes, that's shocking. Didn't laugh at all, not even once. But I was so bored and annoyed. The acting was extremely bad, shameful! Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 12/04/23 Full Review Bob L This was not a good film. Don't be fooled by the 100% positive critic reviews - something is very off there. Storyline is unoriginal and nothing it did made me laugh. The protagonist is annoying to watch. I really don't understand what people see in this film. In fairness the acting is competent, but nothing worth watching is being acted out. Honestly felt like a giant waste of time. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 09/07/23 Full Review dede h There is not a single funny moment in this entire movie. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review David L How come no one like this movie? Mr. Roosevelt is refreshing, amazing, entertaining and rewatchable. The story and characters have a way to relate to us. Such an underrated yet amazing film. Leah Pickett Chicago Reader Wells limns an authentic portrait of a rapidly gentrifying city, down to the thirtysomething cohorts of loafers and tech yuppies who vie for the same turf. Sep 25, 2018 Full Review Richard Roeper Chicago Sun-Times Wells is a talent as a storyteller and as a director with a nice visual touch, and as a screen presence. Emily is wonderful.
