Audience Member It was a pretty decent movie. It was not the regular Korean movie meant for a female audience but it told a story for anyone to enjoy. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/20/23 Full Review Audience Member Mr. Socrates is a very interesting blend of drama, crime thriller, and comedy. A lowlife thug is kidnapped and recruited to become a police officer for a crime syndicate. After helping him earn his GED and become a police officer, they also help him get promoted to homicide detective where he slowly begins to become more humane and honorable. The undercover cop for the syndicate then ends up taking on his own bosses, when he can no longer stray between the lines of right and wrong. The movie manages to balance dark comedy and crime thriller aspects, and developing interesting characters along the way. Themes of rebirth and renewal are present, for a great hybrid of both crime thriller and comedic aspects in this solid film. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/05/23 Full Review Audience Member Loved it! it was funny at the right parts and serious at the others. There should have been more seriousness during the training period though. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/24/23 Full Review Audience Member 김래원 가 멋진 배우 예요! Great action and plot. It seems that all Kim Rae Won's movie is worth watching. Yeah, he plays various characters brilliantly. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/23/23 Full Review Audience Member Funny and clever take on the gangster genre. With that dose of black humour that seems so natural in Korean movies.
