      Audience Member This was one of the dumbest movies I've seen on Hallmark in a long time. I'm a huge Hallmark movies fan and love 99% of their movies. I know they don't mimic reality & are for pure entertainment; but this was utterly ridiculous and had a more than normal number of unlikable characters. Boo! Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review Audience Member This movie was SO bad--not up to the usual Hallmark standard! First of all, WRONG choice of leading man. Shawn Roberts spent 2 hours prancing around with a smirk on his face. Mr. Roberts cannot act, appears to have an overblown ego, and definitely has no charisma! Alexa PenaVega was luminescent but completely wasted in this poorly-written screenplay. She has proven herself to be capable of a much subtler performance. The screenplay was a joke. What a farce when Alexa's character referred to herself in the third person as "the bride" in the final scenes. It really was NO surprise who the bride was. CHEAP TRICK! Advice to Hallmark: lose the writer and Shawn Roberts in future endeavors! Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/24/23 Full Review Audience Member I love Hallmark movies and I expect very little from them - they're made for TV, the budgets are small, and I'm generally pretty forgiving of bad writing and ridiculous plots. Having said that, this movie should not exist. The leads were not personable, relatable, or engaging. The story made no sense, and the ending wasn't so much a twist or surprise as it was baffling. At no point did you get a sense that these characters were falling in love, and it was impossible to care whether they got together or not.
