I can only describe Mulan as a visually spectacular disappointment. Void of any emotional resonance, the film eschews coherent storytelling for what amounts to an Orientalist war epic masquerading as a feminist win for Asians everywhere.

I have been a fan for Disney since I was a kid and I think the most garbage Disney remake is this one. Its story telling was so disappointing and so sad that the original was a timeless classic and the remake wasn’t even a remake because it wasn’t following the original and its plot from the original. Example: shan-yu is an all new character named Bori khan which was disappointing to see in this remake… I wanted 75% of the original characters not just the main character it forgot the Mushu dragon and the rest were just a bunch of other things that were not on the original story. And while we’re talking about it, the original had songs and this one did not. Made me want to eat my vegetables. A disgrace to the original movie. Felt like a reboot then a remake. 1/10

At first the trailer looked promising but when I saw it on the big screen for the first time I was confused, everything they had done for this movie was basically done in another universe, the scenes were all slapstick and pasted with the title "Mulan". At that point it wasn't Mulan anymore. Disney needs to get their act together.

When I went into this movie when it first came out, I was hyped to see a live action Mushu. You know what I get? A movie where over half of the characters shown weren't even in the original. Of all the live actions I've watched, I think this and Snow White are the worst. I can't forgive it for doing this. Not bingeable. We hate Disney for this.
