Nikki Baughan Roll Credits [An] intelligent, understated and surprising film that crosses outlandish creature feature traditions with post 9/11 paranoia to hugely entertaining effect. Weekly ...starts out like the sort of indie art-house fare you'd expect an up-and-coming film student to make...but soon a mutant strain of bubonic plague spread by rats starts turning all the inhabitants of New York into rat-faced zombies. Nov 18, 2007 Full Review Dustin Putman TheFilmFile.com With hyper-active editing and camerawork that doesn't stay still for longer than a second at a time, Mulberry Street is too frenetic to always be comprehensible. Jerod S Low buget horror film where people turn into "rat people". Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 03/02/24 Full Review Fleegle B Really good movie but I didn't like the fact there was Rat creatures instead of actual Zombies Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/05/24 Full Review Audience Member Not a Bad film but certainly not the best either The story takes place in NYC where rats bite people, and they become Ratties(Rat Like Zombies). The apocalypse is spread across the whole city, and everyone is left on their own. It feels like low-budget indie-horror film with dingy lighting and sometimes camera shaking like real documentary is taking place, may lure some audience into the situation but not all. The cinematography is mediocre but not bad, nothing worth mentioning for except the make-up and effects which was surprising. The screenplay is slow at first, but it is paced after 40 minutes of run time. The actor/writer Nick Damici did decent work alongside Kim Blair and Ron Brice. The film comprises a mix of creature violence, gore, and mystery. What could have been better was a back story to the plot otherwise an unsatisfying horror. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/23/23 Full Review Audience Member Zombie virus on mulberry street. 19.2.21 6.7/0. Some beautiful scenes at the end. Whilst some of it was simplistic, it held my attention, for the most part. D.B. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/24/23 Full Review Audience Member The nightmarish cinematography adds horror to a rather silly idea...it also manages to make much of the film confusing. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Audience Member Short, quick, and simple indie horror. It was sometimes unintentionally funny and sometimes creepy and gory. I appreciated the characterization efforts. The sound mixing and audio track was awful but the creature effects were pretty great and it had spirit.Terrible ending. 5.5/10 Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Read all reviews
