Laura P @LauraAnn Dec 25 The subject of this documentary, essentially vigilante justice, had a lot of potential. However, the film begins immediately as if the viewer is completely familiar with the event that it is based upon - a lobster fishing boat captain and crew member murdering a man caught robbing their traps. There is more complexity to it than that of course, but you aren't even introduced to that premise for quite awhile after you are asked to start forming opinions about what happened and who was right. Right about what? I have no idea what even happened! Another issue I found is that in several important police interviews and a few other interviews with locals I simply could not hear or understand what was being said due to either sound quality or local accents. Subtitles would have been useful or even necessary in these cases. The editing in my opinion was too scattered to make the story easy or impelling to follow. The story itself would have been a natural but it wasn't presented very well. See more Read all reviews
