This Orient Express is a first‑class ride in style, with Branagh’s mustache stealing the spotlight. The star‑studded cast keeps the journey lively, but the mystery sometimes derails under the weight of spectacle. Good movie. Had its clever moments but it seems like it was rushed one the action started. It getting more suspense and the clues came too fast. I felt like I was watching it in 2x the speed. They’re making a sequel I hope they slow it down.

Murder on the Orient Express (2017) – Review Rating: 7/10 Kenneth Branagh’s Murder on the Orient Express is a visually elegant adaptation of Agatha Christie's classic novel. The film excels in its breathtaking production design, detailed costumes, and imaginative cinematography—from the striking opening sequence to the intimate overhead shots that pull viewers into the mystery. The ensemble cast delivers strong performances across the board, with Kenneth Branagh fully embodying the meticulous Hercule Poirot. The sets and wardrobe are period-perfect and transport the audience completely into the world of the Orient Express. While the musical score remains subtle throughout, and the pacing slows slightly in the middle section, the film concludes with a satisfying and thoughtfully presented resolution that honors the spirit of Christie's storytelling. Recommended for fans of classic mysteries and timeless cinema craftsmanship. PS not a fan of how rotten tomato’s censors all reviews. I wrote something witty and funny and no hurtful at all and it was deemed “not ok” for their Guidelines.
