Louisa Moore Screen Zealots A dull drama for people fascinated with true crime or the science of mind control. Even then, they'd be better off picking up a book to learn more about the true story behind this movie. Rated: 2 / 5 Mar 8, 2021 Full Review Emilie Black Cinema Crazed While the images gain from talented cinematography and a strong cast makes it watchable, the story and direction fall incredibly flat. Rated: 2.5/5 Feb 11, 2021 Full Review Josh Bell Crooked Marquee The movie tries to connect Nielsen's crimes to the legacy of Nazism, although the thematic resonance doesn't quite land, and the goofy mysticism undermines the potentially thoughtful observations. mauro l Strange and uncanny: highly stylized, Spartan staging, frugal pace, photograph in some moments strongly contrasted and with the dark tone of the unconscious. The scene in which Cyron Melville's Hardrup exhibits withdrawal symptoms due to a hypnotic trap is powerful. (Mauro Lanari) Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Read all reviews
