Michael Phillips Chicago Tribune Most of "Musical Chairs" settles for being simple, familiar and ineffective, though I suspect it'll warm a few hearts. Rated: 2/4 Mar 29, 2012 Full Review Roger Ebert Chicago Sun-Times A feel-good romantic fantasy that is likely to inspire a hollow laugh among some people in wheelchairs. Rated: 2.5/4 Mar 29, 2012 Full Review Sara Stewart New York Post The little-known art of wheelchair ballroom dancing is a worthy subject, but this clumsy romantic comedy is like a partner who keeps stepping on - or rolling over - your toes. Rated: 2/4 Mar 23, 2012 Full Review Felix Vasquez Jr. Cinema Crazed While Susan Seidelman's musical drama is contrived and formulaic, it gets a free pass mainly for being such a charming romance that at least tries to break its predictability. Mar 21, 2014 Full Review Betty Jo Tucker ReelTalk Movie Reviews Having been a dancer for a good part of my life, I found 'Musical Chairs' quite inspiring. Oct 21, 2012 Full Review Susan Granger SSG Syndicate Simpatico if shallow, struggling to be a life-affirming, feel-good fantasy. Rated: 6/10 May 8, 2012 Full Review Read all reviews

Audience Member Insightful and done with heart through an intriguing premise that'd overlooked an indescribable flaw while having little results, simplicity in some plot developments and melodrama. (B+) (Full review coming soon) Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/17/23 Full Review Audience Member Nice heartwarming original story. It was a little slow at times but picks up with little comedy and coming off she live story. Is with seeing for those that like dancing especially. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/15/23 Full Review Frances H Sweet, lovely romance with a good message of never giving up. As someone who loved to dance and then became crippled with severe arthritis that gave me a "third leg" (a cane) and who will probably end up in a wheelchair, I loved this film. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 08/16/14 Full Review Audience Member Enjoyable, heartwarming movie for an evening in! Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/03/23 Full Review Audience Member I feel like I can relate to this.... And I would love to see it. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/12/23 Full Review Audience Member I just streamed this movie for free online and thought it was incredible. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/12/23 Full Review Read all reviews
