Chris Salce Film Threat Films like MVP are made for numerous reasons. One: It brings awareness to serious issues. Two: It puts a specific and important program at the forefront. Three: It lets veterans know that there is more of them out there going through the same thing. Rated: 8/10 Dec 7, 2022 Full Review Patrick McDonald HollywoodChicago.com McRae and Boyer turn in passionate performances as two sides of the same situational coin. Boyer communicates, as a storyteller, the conflicts of trying to assimilate back to society after an experience that can't be duplicated again. W/Boyer interview. Rated: 3.5/5 Dec 6, 2022 Full Review Wilson Morales BlackFilmandTV.com MVP is a bit flawed in its approach but has enough components to make the film worthwhile. It's a heartfelt, inspirational film that many can watch and be motivated from. Nov 15, 2022 Full Review Russ Burlingame ComicBook.com As a directorial debut, it's a solid effort. You could do a lot worse than a thoughtful story with a clear point of view and a great, well-acted relationship at its core. But it still could have used another round of edits. CJ J This is a veteran must see! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 08/07/24 Full Review Audience Member MVP was a really beautiful and powerful film that really went low under the radar. Here we are in 2024 and I'm just now finding out about the film which was released in 2022. Nate Boyer who directed and stars in this film does a great job in front and behind the camera. The acting from the supporting cast is also pretty decent. This is a story that needs to be told about Veterans in the military and also Vererans from a professional sport who are finding it difficult living civilian lives after their profession. The film tackles fighting with suicide, post traumatic stress, brotherhood, family, and getting help. Loved to see a lot of cameos in this film from the NFL. Loved the title of this film as it stands for Merging Vets and players. The movie takes it time with the story it wants to tell and has a very powerful ending. MVP gets a very high rating of 4 stars out of 5. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 05/30/24 Full Review KB B It was entertaining and worth the watch. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/10/24 Full Review D L Very personal film and well made Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/15/23 Full Review Corocote L Mo McCrae gives an incendiary illuminating performance in a tale of lost meaning and reclaimed values. Veterans, professional athletes and anyone searching for the previous motivation and values that have been lost will find deep substance in this emotional drama. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 05/20/23 Full Review paula w Thank you for the courageous movie that gives our families an open door to talk, to wade through my husband's military career. This is such a powerful story of courage and bravery of the Men and Women in uniform that sacrifice so much for us and they come home to fight for their own lives each and everyday. Thank you for bringing powerful attention to the support our men and women in uniform need, especially our loved ones who served in active combat. Powerful, courageous, brave, heart pounding, tear filled and still leaves us with hope! It is movies like this that give us hope, faith, a chance for a new conversation, maybe a glimpse for the world to see how desperately those who have fought for our lives and freedom need us to fight for theirs. So thank you with all of our hearts! Paula Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Read all reviews
