See more 11/19/2008 Although this movie could have turned out nice, it gets spoilt by a rather weak ending which includes Mithun Chakraborthy taking off his priest's attire and getting into fisticuffs with the bad guys. Liked it See more 05/12/2008 There are some movies that makes it to the big screen since theres big cast but turns out a horrible story...then there are some movies with new or cheap cast but something new in the story. MY NAME IS ANTHONY GONSALVES is that movie with new and cheap casting. Director E Niwas who used to be Ram Gopal Varma's assistant...after superhit of SHOOL, PYAR TUNE KYA KIYA and DUM now comes to different form of story. New comer Nikhil Dwivedi is a talented actor. He may not have the face for star quality but he does know how to act. Amrita Rao is is ok but tends to over act some parts. She definately looks hot. Mithun is good after long time. Lillete Dubey is great as always. Anupam Kher is ok as i prefer him in comedy. There are special appearance made by Priyanka Chopra who looks stunning and Anil Kapoor who is also great in his cameo. Its not a MUST see film but its worth watching. if you ever in a mood for something different story or story thas told in a different way then ANTHONY would be good time pass movie to watch.
