Angele (Gaële Le Roi) is a 20-year-old classical singer who is considering having a child, against the wishes of her less mature boyfriend. Her 40-year-old mother, Agnes (Anny Romand), has never been married and juggles various lovers who do not truly understand her. Agnes' own mother, Odile (Helene Roussel), on the other hand, lives a life of loneliness and unrewarding duty.
