Christy Lemire FilmWeek (KPCC - NPR Los Angeles) I think it'll probably resonate with anyone who has gone through this experience themselves. Mar 3, 2023 Full Review Katie Walsh Tribune News Service The premise of “My Happy Ending” is somewhat slight, but there’s nothing insubstantial about a woman coming to a profound realization about her life thanks to a surprising encounter with unexpected new allies Rated: 2.5/4 Feb 25, 2023 Full Review Thelma Adams AARP Movies for Grownups Julia discovers there’s no A-list treatment when it comes to the big C, a realization that softens and humanizes her. Rated: 3/5 Feb 24, 2023 Full Review Marya E. Gates Cool People Have Feelings, Too. (Substack) Plays fast and loose with actual medical ethics in service of the story’s theme of self-actualization. Feb 13, 2024 Full Review Hannah Brown Jerusalem Post The movie is far more entertaining than the premise would suggest, and it movingly represents Gov’s plea for us to speak more openly and realistically about death. Jun 1, 2023 Full Review Carla Hay Culture Mix The only happy ending that viewers might get from watching this poorly made and fake-looking cancer comedy/drama is when this boring train wreck is finally over. Tamsin Greig gives the movie's only adequate performance. Everyone else's acting falls flat. Mar 11, 2023 Full Review Read all reviews

Larry Subject matter could be disturbing to some. Ending was not clear. Acting was great! Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/26/23 Full Review Janice W The title doesn't give away the movie at all. Andie McDowell is an aging actress who learns she has 4 stage cancer. The supporting cast gives support for her to let her know how they have fought the cancer. Each person is at a different stage in the fight. No light issue by no means. I thought it was an interesting perspective on someone who decides to chose not to go through the treatment and use the time to enjoy whatever time she has left with her loved ones. I thought the movie was alright. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/25/23 Full Review Todd M Dowwnerrr! Very nice performances by most , but the script has some issues, and overall—it’s heavy and brings your stats-of-mind down, down, down—with very little payoff. I can take downers (I LOVE “Sophie’s Choice”) but they have to be well written and have true to life emotional pay-offs. This one is too far off of the mark, and pays-off only minutely. If you’re considering it—honestly, I would just pass… Rated 2 out of 5 stars 09/02/24 Full Review Diala K Very very touching. The only negative is I thought the acting was on the weak side by most characters. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/29/24 Full Review Ace R It's not a bad movie. It gives you an idea of what some cancer patients may be going through emotionally. And that it emotionally effects everyone equally no matter what their stature may be. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 08/16/23 Full Review Corinne B Horrible film that glamorizes not taking care of yourself when diagnosed with cancer.
