Audience Member This is a super silly fun movie about a teenager and a college boy who are thrown together in a marriage agreement by their parents. It highlights the naïve understanding that the teenage girl has of love and marriage. The college boy shows a great understanding of his responsibility to protect his young wives innocence and allow her the time and space to grow up naturally. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/03/23 Full Review Audience Member My Little Bride is about 1" deep, but at least it made me laugh. Boeun is an average 16 year old high school girl. Her grandfather's "dying wish" is for her to immediately marry Sangmin, an university student and family friend who treats Boeun like a little sister. Despite their initial objections, the couple marry and hilarity ensues as they try to keep the marriage a secret from her high school friends and teachers. Also, the romantic leads become likeable over time ... In particular, Moon Geunyoung (A Tale of Two Sisters) as the highschool bride gives off a teenage innocence while still having a great expressive and comedic face. Incidentally, she's also now starring in Innocent Steps, the current box office chart topper in Korea right now, where she plays a Korean-Chinese girl entering a sports-dance competition. She's the new Hillary Duff K-teen idol of the moment... I'd choose to watch this movie over the horrendously dull "award-winning" Christmas in August (see my last post) any day.
