Alain E This is a completely crazy movie for an audience that is accustomed to art films with subtitles. The story doesn’t make any sense. A young prostitute in France who appears to be well balanced shows some kindness to a homeless guy and eventually elevates him to her boyfriend and pimp. He finds another needy girl on the side. The guy ends up in jail and the two girls become friends. The hooker retires and decides that she wants a domestic life with two kids. Her girlfriend follows along. None of these is reasonable human behavior. The acting however is very good and the feature is well illuminated and has nice color photography. In the spirit of craziness the music is divided between Barry While and the neoclassical composer Gorecki. Available on Kanopy.
