Mark Kermode Kermode and Mayo's Take (YouTube) The plot is never the point... it's a series of nostalgic childhood images... with the interplay between nature and humanity, and nature and the modern world. Aug 15, 2024 Full Review Peter Bradshaw Guardian This inspirationally lovely and gentle film has a real claim to be Miyazaki’s masterpiece, or first among equals in his collection. Rated: 5/5 Aug 1, 2024 Full Review Adam Nayman The Ringer There’s still nothing quite like Hayao Miyazaki’s My Neighbor Totoro... Apr 21, 2023 Full Review Calum Cooper Cinerama Film My Neighbour Totoro is an ode to childlike innocence and the ways life can seem all the more wonderful through that lens. Fer S Obviously fantastic animations. Nice story, though I would have preferred a different ending. I had to give it a second chance, I thought it was childish when I first tried to watch it, but I was wrong! It is both for kids and adults. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 11/21/24 Full Review Garrett B Truly one of my favorite anime films. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 11/03/24 Full Review Micah H If wholesome was a movie. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/31/24 Full Review Charvine A A pure joy and the best illustration of the innocence and wonder of childhood. A word of warning: you will not have the same experience unless you watch it in Japanese with subtitles, because the kids' performance in English sounds a little worldly and bratty, whereas the Japanese are pure innocence. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/09/24 Full Review Dionisis T Beautiful animation and definitely one of the most enjoyable of its kind! Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 09/16/24 Full Review John C beautiful simple folklore Rated 4 out of 5 stars 08/29/24 Full Review Read all reviews
