The premise of the Life Lease is OK but story does not hold together well. It tries to deal with the rawness and selfishness of infidelity and the damage it causes while trying to feel life affirming and include a happy ending. With such a great cast there are some watchable moments but they are not enough to save this movie.

Great actors in a good movie. The French attitudes are accurate, and the Marais is beautifully correct. Loved the plot development and the actors. The story is, unfortunately, too predictable. There is no suspense. We know that Kevin Kline and Kristin Scott-Thomas will get together, and that all will be fine. However, the atmosphere of Paris and the Marais are beautifully done.

Consistently interesting and entertaining. Enjoyed all three stars, Smith, Klein and Thomas. Great to see Maggie Smith not playing Downton Abbey. It got tiresome or boring with too much back and forth, but it was a originally a play. It was smart and unpredictable.

A tortuous watch and had to give up 20 minutes before the end. I liked the setting but its overly drawn out and I frankly could not warm to Kline or indeed anyone in this rather indulgent stab at If its set in Paris its got to be chic .Sorry its just miserable.
