Chris M I prefer my fantasy to have a lighter tone than this. But even though it’s darker than my taste care for, it isn’t bad. Plus, even though there are character issues. Those characters are mild and mainly in the supporting characters. But I got to admit for a budget I’m assuming wasn’t exactly blockbuster level, the CGI and practical effects are excellent. The chemistry of the cast and the fights are also well done. It drags at time but as a whole, I see it as flawed by great. Acting Is Excellent, Really Looks And Feels Like A Lived In World, Does A Good Job Of Representing A World Of Magic And Monsters In Action! Excited To Watch The Sequel Movies! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 11/27/23 Full Review Bebedora A Bigger budget would have made this much better. I love the style and fantasy world. D&D style, great for nerds like me! :) Rated 4 out of 5 stars 10/15/22 Full Review kelly g I have no words to describe what I sat through. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member I love a good RPG style story. It honestly could have just been a guy at a bar telling me the plot of this movie and I would have been okay with it. That said, this is a LOW BUDGET movie. Not enough to get big actors, though everyone did a good enough job, but big enough to get a CG troll, but not big enough to customize his actions very much or get realistic looking spiders. That said, anyone who has ever heard of what an RPG is will understand what they were going for and will probably be able to get past it. If you want to turn your brain off and adventure vicariously, then this is a good movie to pop on (I'd probably watch this over Dungeons and Dragons). Solidly good movie, just underfunded to make it great. Looking forward to watching again someday. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/18/23 Full Review matt h Low budget Lord of the Rings feel. Not a complete waste of time. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
