It is a captivating fantasy mystery about what happens when a modern day tourist crosses paths with a figure from Hawaiian mythology. The film has a subtle charm that makes it fun to watch the mystery unfold. The cast delivers excellent performances and the scenery is beautiful. It’s funny, weird, mysterious and a little bit sexy at times. It’s based on Polynesian mythology but told from the point of view of an outsider on vacation in Hawaii. Well shot with great performances, especially from Jamie Kennedy, who plays a fun character similar to the movie expert character he played in Scream nearly 30 years ago. If you like Jamie, or Hawaii, or unique independent films that have something to say about the world around us, you’ll like this movie. Oh, and the twist ending is really fun! This is why I miss cable. Could turn the Channel back then and now you commit to watching something and have to log out and into another app. Idk what this was.
