matthias s @Thescreenasvor 11/29/2024 Got this special recommended to me as a fan of standup, and I’m glad I gave it a shot. Nate Bargatze’s *Hello World* is a refreshing change of pace—he’s just funny without trying to be edgy or overly political. His style is simple but clearly comes from years of experience. The jokes feel relatable and effortless. I especially loved the bit about his wife being the “man” of the relationship and mowing the lawn—that one hit home because it’s the same in my life. The only downside for me was the closing bit about golf. Not that it wasn’t good, but I don’t know anything about golf, so it kind of fizzled out for me at the end. Still, I had a lot of fun watching this. If you’re looking for something chill and entertaining, I’d definitely recommend it. I’ll be checking out more of his specials for sure. I've seen most of this special in online clips, but it didn't matter, I was still crying laughing. I didn't get the golf jokes but I'm sure being in Phoenix, most of his audience did. Nate is very funny and as a 45 year only family man I found it highly relatable with a good range of stories and anecdotes.
