There’s no great effort at building tension, or orchestrating major setpieces. But the narrative moves along at an engaging clip, and there’s a pleasing emotional payoff to the way things ultimately come together in Farley’s screenplay. T Go to Full Review

If you’re a “they don’t make ‘em like they used to” type when it comes to genre, do have a look at this. It’ll very likely hit an old-school sweet (or sour) spot or two. Go to Full Review

Morgan is perfect for his role as a slightly unhinged former security guard as he does seem to have a soft spot for Quaid’s character. Overall this held my attention the whole time. Go to Full Review

It relies on familiar tropes of mystery and investigation, but it’s elevated by the unique performances of its two leads. Fans of either lead will find something to enjoy in this fairly by-the-numbers detective story Go to Full Review

Joe U @ACSolarski 6d Started off with promise but halfway through became unbelievably stupid. Who writes this crap? The ridiculous plot failure almost made us turn it off. See more TheMovieSearch R @TheMovieSearch Dec 31 Neighborhood Watch is a character-driven thriller that leans heavily on Jack Quaid, sometimes to its own detriment. Quaid delivers a committed performance, but the film becomes so focused on his internal world that it neglects the people and environment around him. Much of the story unfolds through constant inner monologue, which initially feels intimate but quickly grows repetitive and exhausting. Instead of building tension through action or supporting characters, the film relies on narration to push the plot forward, making it feel more like a prolonged monologue than a fully developed story. The lack of strong secondary characters weakens the stakes, leaving the neighborhood itself feeling hollow rather than threatening. While the direction is competent and occasionally stylish, it plays things too safely and never fully escalates the suspense. The screenplay had potential but needed tighter pacing and more narrative variety. Overall, Neighborhood Watch is watchable See more Rebecca H @rlha2005 Dec 31 So good!! So good!! See more Tim E @Eskewsme Dec 25 JD Morgan is always pretty captivating to watch on screen, and I appreciate the relatively short running time. The film was casually entertaining enough to hold my attention. I’d recommend it to a friend, if only to see how much they ultimately enjoy it. See more Leslie R @lrobin01 Dec 24 I really liked it. The cinematography was well done. Character development was good. The story was plausible and developed with enough tension but was not overplayed. It was believable; had an authentic feel to it. I really enjoyed it. See more Ryan C @djrmc24 Dec 23 Neighborhood Watch, starring Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Jack Quaid, not to be confused with ‘The Watch’ comedy film with Ben Stiller, is a decent crime thriller that is better then expected. I was expecting this movie to be more on the slow moving side but it actually moves at a decent pace. The film centers around Simon, a young man suffering from mental disability, played by Quaid, who believes he saw a woman getting kidnapped. He seeks the help of Ed, his neighbour, played by Morgan, who is a retired security guard, to locate the woman. The movie weaves in and out on what’s really happening and takes the audience for the ride. I was pleasantly surprised by this one and only came across it by scrolling on Hulu. The ending also has a nice payoff! Neighborhood Watch gets a solid 3 stars out of 5 from me. See more Read all reviews
