Frank Swietek One Guy's Opinion It gets tangled up attempting to juggle all the different threads of plot and perspective, and winds up more confusing than illuminating—as well as thoroughly unsatisfying. Rated: D Jul 19, 2022 Full Review Graeme Guttmann Screen Rant Neon Lights shows promise, but it buckles under the weight of an identity crisis - the film is unsure of what it wants to be and ultimately falters. Timothy P Maybe the worst movie I ever watched. The main character has this annoying Giggle throughout and all the characters are so annoying you want to murder them yourself. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 12/16/23 Full Review Izzy D wonderful to watch high 👍🏻 Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/06/23 Full Review Dan B This movie had some promised but ends up being just a messy, confusing remake of Identity. If you've seen that movie you'll quickly realize what's happening, removing any feelings of surprise or dread that Neon Lights attempts to create. It's too bad, there was some promise here but it was not executed well at all. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 06/30/23 Full Review L Q This is a psychological thriller. The viewer needs to look at this plot through the lens of the DSM and watch for the clues in the therapist and flashes of the court documents, as well as the newspaper article on the therapist at the end. This is a deep plot and Dana Abraham's performance is amazing. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/04/23 Full Review Audience Member Man I wanted to like this I really did. I am a huge Kim Coates fan so I was very excited to see this thriller. Too bad it was just a hot mess. I had such a hard time watching this, I kept pausing and walking away and trying to sit through it. I was really disappointed I am not entirely sure if the people behind this production have ever made a film before because what the hell was this? These actors needed some better direction on how to perform because it really wasn't consistent. The highlights for me where Kim Coates, I also liked the Benny for some reason? The other actors were just okay in my opinion. I would want to see them in other stuff just to see if it was really them or just that they didn't get enough clarity from their director. The title is confusing I don't get how Neon Lights has ANYTHING to do with the premise other than they thought it sounded "cool." Props to the art, costume and makeup department they all looked nice. Some good camera work in there as well. Hopefully if these people ever make a movie again they make some changes to how they do things. I might watch again to see if second viewing is better but overall it's meh for me. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/12/23 Full Review Read all reviews
