Audience Member Wow! I am letting Peter Weller really have it lately. First for Naked Lunch and now for this film. Perhaps he ought to have signed up for a lifetime of playing Robocop. This doesn't quite work. It has it's moments but feels incomplete. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/07/23 Full Review Audience Member A rather slow movie. Boring to watch at times, with over-the-top characters, and a strange ending. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/25/23 Full Review Audience Member Subtle satire of the downtrodden beautiful people of LA - although essentially an urban drama. Peter Weller and Judy Davis work well together, but the story itself is very shallow. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/06/23 Full Review Audience Member Sporadically witty but not too deep, New Age explores satirically the lives of self-absorbed yuppies on the verge of economic and moral collapse. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/25/23 Full Review Audience Member was an ok film could have been better than what it was. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/10/23 Full Review Audience Member It has it's ups and downs, but ultimately as empty as these people's lives. Gene Siskel Chicago Tribune A sometimes smart social commentary on Los Angeles characters who seek spiritual salvation when they can't buy every object they want. But it's a brilliance too pitiless and clear-eyed to be lovable. Rated: 4/5 Mar 4, 2024 Full Review Malcolm Johnson Hartford Courant The realities of their performances prove insufficient to pull Tolkin's bitter and deliberate tale from its doldrums, however, and this film lives u p to its title. Most of the time, it proves as repetitive and empty as an endless New Wave rhapsody. Jun 8, 2018 Full Review Chuck O'Leary Fantastica Daily Rated: 3/5 Oct 9, 2005 Full Review Read all reviews
