James D Brilliant! Smart dialog, fearless realism, a big load of likable villains. I can't believe the plethora of bad reviews - they're acting like fuddy-duddies who are unable to divorce their personal morality from a raucous "what-if" when a package of 10 coke kilos gets mistakenly delivered to the apartment next door. This movie may not do well with those of conservative personality. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 11/28/23 Full Review adam b It's nothing amazing but if you're looking for a classic Mike Epps comedy with a violent spin, here ya go Rated 3 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Honestly this is a very sad movie. Not sad emotionally, but sad, just sad. They have Puerto Ricans claiming to be Dominicans. And they have blacks stabbing each other in the back. Robbing their own cousins. How sad is that, why would they even promote them type of actions. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 01/18/23 Full Review Audience Member 2/10 So unfunny it hurts Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/11/23 Full Review Audience Member Like most people, from the previews, I expected this to be something like the Barbershop or Friday movies and just be a good urban comedy. Instead, it also tries to be a serious street crime flick. However, it doesn't do either right and fails miserably as a result. A package gets sent to the wrong address and eventually, someone has to get it back. A waste of a great cast, should have been so much better. Stephen Garrett Time Out Rated: 2/5 Nov 17, 2011 Full Review Michael Phillips Chicago Tribune Next Day Air is sort of bracing, though it isn't very good: Its total lack of dramatic and comic bearings, to say nothing of a point, keeps you wondering about the next fatality, in a half-interested way. Rated: 2/4 May 29, 2009 Full Review Marc Savlov Austin Chronicle Consistently unremarkable from its dullsville title on down. Rated: 0.5/5 May 14, 2009 Full Review Joshua Starnes ComingSoon.net Next Day Air is well-intentioned but ill-thought, an amateur work by a first time filmmaking team trying to make the kind of film they like to watch, but ignorant of what makes those kinds of films work. Rated: 5/10 Apr 20, 2011 Full Review William Goss Cinematical [Director Benny Boom] keeps the proceedings competent in the face of a labyrinthine plot that begs for more so-called flair than it deserves.
