Audience Member Nice movie, hidden gem. Should get released on DVD. Good performances, led by a wonderful, glowing turn by Heather Langenkamp and Michael Cole is equally touching. A whos who of prestige supporting, familiar actors like Brian Kerwin and Grace Zabriskie. Feels authentic, real, about relationships. Very sweet. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/13/23 Full Review Audience Member I loved this movie when I saw it as a teenager, as I was blinded by the fact that it starred Heather Langenkamp of A Nightmare on Elm Street fame and Grace Zabriske of Twin Peaks. But watching it as an adult, I have to say, I was more than a bit creeped out by seeing a movie where a middle aged man pines over (and eventually sleeps with) a sixteen year old girl, then tries to make it a sweet happy situation in the end. What in the hell were these people thinking? I'm wondering who in their right minds would put this out on DVD or blu ray, so I wouldn't be surprised if this film never makes it past VHS. The acting is good, the atmosphere is quaint, but the subtext (and not so subtext) is quite revolting. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/29/23 Full Review Audience Member I wish that this would get a DVD release. Great story of hardship! Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/22/23 Full Review Read all reviews
