This environment could be a CGI wonderland to teach audiences something about history, if only there were fun facts here and there. You’d think coming from a movie that takes place inside a museum the audience might learn a little, but you’d be wrong.

Thankfully, the special-effects used to simulate the static exhibits coming to life (dinosaurs, statues, warriors etc) are both strong and varied enough to prevent a totally worn-out welcome.

It’s pretty brainless stuff but never gets you gripped. Lightweight film making, good for a harmless family film but never going to stir you too much. Watched on Amazon Prime.

With a stellar cast, a general sense of fun and some sweet lessons placed within, Night at the Museum is a diverting movie that looses several points due to some poor cgi, a lackluster script and uneven pacing.

I don’t like giving out 5 stars a lot but there was nothing wrong with this movie. It was funny, entertaining, and enjoyable, the whole museum coming to life plot had never been done before, and all the different types of characters from the animals, the dinosaur, and the president really good movie.
