Audience Member This Venom Mob flick is as strange as it gets. With cheap dubbing, the characters are named Joey and Gary, and their fathers are killed in a coup. Gary is captured, but Joey manages to escape and just so finds the pit of hell. In it, the Black Prince (Satan?) offers him the power of nine demons, which grant him an array of sweet powers. The catch: He must let them feed on blood daily. Filled with all sorts of strangeness, the villains ponder if Demon Joey and Joey are the same person, and there's a very stretched out final battle on water, then ice, then on a bamboo rack, and its all strange but enjoyable mix of supernatural halloween decorations and kung fu nonsense. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/05/23 Full Review Audience Member Kill me and hurry up Joey and his best friend, Roland, are in the process of bringing down a group of ruthless outlaws when Roland is captured and Joey is thrown off a cliff. While Roland is being tortured Joey begins negotiating with the devil to save his best friend. Joey convinces the devil to take him up on his offer; however, he will need to feed the devil’s nine demons. Joey will return to Earth and begin a killing spree to feed the demons. “He’s your master and your friend.” Cheh Chang, director of Invincible One, Chinese Super Ninjas, 5 Deadly Venoms, Crippled Avengers, Ode to Gallantry, Killer Army, The Flag of Iron, Ten Tigers of Kwangtung, and The Magnificent Ruffians, delivers 9 Demons. The storyline for this martial arts picture is horrible and not worth your time. The acting is mediocre and the magic was ridiculous; however, the martial arts were solid. “I’m handsomer than all of your other customers.” This film is advertised as a Venoms flick; however, this film only contains three Venoms: Centipede (Feng Lu), Sheng Chiang (The young Venom from 5 Deadly Venoms), and Li Wang (Pang from Killer Army). Nevertheless, this did not feel like a Venoms film at all. The story was disappointing and there was more magic in this film than martial arts choreography. Even if you are the most dedicated Venom fan, I strongly recommend skipping this picture. “He’s going to kill us all.” Grade: D- Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/19/23 Full Review Read all reviews
