I thought No Reservations was just okay. Catherine Zeta-Jones and Aaron Eckhart give solid performances, and the cooking and food scenes are visually appealing, but the story itself feels predictable and formulaic. The romance and family drama are sweet at times, but the plot doesn’t offer anything surprising, and the pacing can feel a bit slow. It’s easy to watch, but doesn’t leave a lasting impression. Overall, I’d give it a 5/10—it’s an okay, light-hearted drama, enjoyable in parts but ultimately forgettable.

For the non-critic, it’s a fun and enjoyable family friendly movie. If you want a more accurate depiction of a cooking show/movie, then this movie would be rated R. I love this movie.

I enjoyed this movie. I was a cook so movies about food always work for me. Master chef Catherine Zeta-Jones is intense and intimidating. Sous chef Aaron Eckhart and Jones clash but warm up to each other after Eckhart impresses Abigail Breslin,her niece who she just gained guardianship of. When isn't Abigail Breslin adorable? Jones ultimately has to learn to find true happiness outside the kitchen.
