Despite a completely absurd premise, No Sleep Til Christmas is kind of fun. Go to Full Review

Nothing about No Sleep ‘Til Christmas really makes sense, most of all the budding romance between Lizzie and Billy. It’s not charming; it’s toeing the line with cheating, and it’s just not fun to watch. Go to Full Review

The conceit of No Sleep 'Til Christmas is a stretch. That it actually manages to sell it is nothing short of a miracle. Go to Full Review

No Sleep 'Til Christmas is definitely worth your time. Especially if Christmas movies aren't usually your cup of cocoa, so to speak. Go to Full Review

Cameron H. @camthemovieman 2d The plot was predictable and the story far-fetched, but the performances were decent, I liked how the two leads are a real married couple so it makes their chemistry more genuine. It’s not so much a full on Christmas movie, it’s just a story that takes place during Christmas. There’s all the typical tropes and cliches you find in any romantic comedy movie, but the wacky premise alone makes this film worth a one-time watch. See more Joseph T @Lexi311 6d This may be the most off-putting movie I have ever seen identifying as a feel-good Christmas movie. Aside from a lot of bad acting, the plot is terrible with so many shortcuts and contradictions that none of the relationships get properly developed and the story can’t be resolved. Main characters are insufferable, taking advantage of everyone with despicable behavior and no repercussions - playfully aloof to their selfishness even in the very end moving on abruptly and disrespectfully after a supposed moment of reflection and remorse. It’s so odd and there is no reason to be happy for them. The friends are more likable but complicit in lies and even silence their kid into submission to perpetuate a lie. The fiancé and his mom are saints and get discarded in the most casual on screen execution I’ve ever witnessed with no justification whatsoever and we are supposed to accept it as ok. Lazy, cheap, careless. How is anything about this in the Christmas spirit? See more Amara A @pkeo0 Dec 25 I’d rather be hit by a car twice than watch this bullshit again. Not only are both of the main characters horrible people, there is also not even the slightest bit of chemistry between these two assholes. The way the mother is set up to be some horrible person is also incredibly stupid as the entire time she is nothing but sweet and caring towards the main characters. I’d maybe feel at least a little bit of empathy for the main character if the fiancé was even half as much as a piece of shit as she was but no, the entire movie he is nothing but sweet and accommodating towards her and her insomnia. Every joke is the same "oh we’re sleeping together but it’s not like that!" dogshit that feels more like beating you over the head with a blunt knife rather than any actual joke with substance. Don’t watch this shit if you actually value your time. See more Jeffrey L @JeffreyLewelling Dec 14 This movie is extremely well crafted - the direction, editing pace etc. - excellent. The jokes are not predictable and well timed - the acting is excellent! I see some are critical because they don't like the female protagonist, SPOILER ALERT: do like her her ultimately jilted boyfriend - that is for me one of the best aspects of the film - it totally separates this film from all of the other generic "Hallmark" Christmas rom coms - you genuinely do not see how this will play out - there is no demonizing one while telegraphing what will happen, no long moralizing speeches about the meaning of Christmas, or just how to be "nice" etc that produce groans. For such an unlikely premise this movie continually leans into it and surprises all along the way. It breaks every boring rule/convention of these rom coms hilariously. See more Kevin B @Kevininmia Dec 11 Better than the average hallmark movie See more Karen F @foster.karen Dec 11 Those of us who can’t sleep get this. Odd premise, not really a Christmas movie but decent for a free Rom com night See more Read all reviews
