B N. @Kabeju 1d This story had so much potential for a really good movie. Acting was so unrealistic very theatrical acted it’s A lifetime movie with a Mexican soap opera feel. It’s entertaining as i said the story is good. Too bad the main character was very cartoonish and could have kept you on the edge with a strong acting and suspense scenes . Watch it as background. See more Jackie S. @sanctuarie 2d Terrible script, acting, editing, was just a really bad lifetime movie. See more Dave T @RT08782707 4d Loosely based on my sister's classmate who was murdered in Brownsville, not McAllen. We have the last vhs footage of Joey in a class project video playing a gangster (in sneakers) for a retelling of The Godfather. This movie only shows one outsourced drone footage of McAllen, the rest is clearly Canada. We live on the delta of the Rio Grande River, and there are no mountains or huge trees. If your reading this, please check out the documentary on YouTube. The mother is quite ugly in real life. See more TheMovieSearch R @TheMovieSearch 5d Nobody Dumps My Daughter is a Hallmark-style thriller that takes a surprisingly darker turn than expected, focusing on a mother who becomes dangerously protective after her daughter is emotionally hurt. While it starts with a familiar setup, the film shifts into more intense territory that gives it a slightly more gripping edge than typical entries in the genre. The screenplay is uneven but still serviceable. There are moments that feel like they could have been tightened or better developed, but the core concept remains engaging enough to maintain interest. It doesn’t always reach its potential, yet it holds together well enough to stay watchable from start to finish. Hallmark-style storytelling is clearly present, but this film leans more into thriller elements than pure comfort drama, which helps it stand out slightly. The strongest aspect is the lead performance of the mother, who brings intensity and conviction to a role that could have easily felt flat or exaggerated. See more Pat V @RT55367970 Apr 19 What a disappointing movie! The only good thing was the acting. The script- written as a true story - made no sense to those of us that lived through it. This took place in Brownsville, TX. Not McAllen. There is about 100 miles between these two cities. Brownsville is on the coast near South Padre Island. McAllen is inland. Both equally as populated, so why the need to relocate it? It looked more like Brownsville anyway with the more tropical appearance. I understand not using real names, but what justified reason was there to change location? Also, FYI, there is no McAllen Sheriff's Dept (it's Hidalgo County, or in real life, would've been Cameron County), or Edinburg Penitentiary for Women (again, Hidalgo County and not limited to women), or Edinburg County! Footnote: Edinburg is also a real city, next to McAllen, and the Hidalgo County Seat. My true condolences to the Fisher family for the needless killing of their son. I do not see what was gained by making this movie. See more Tiffany G @RT23468976 10/13/2024 Review: https://wp.me/p65txm-gv0/#NobodyDumpsMyDaughter See more Read all reviews
