greenlight e What a joke. Thought it was gonna be about hulk hogans case, instead it was a scam probably funded by the Clinton's to make you think Donald trump wants to shut down the freedom of the press. Not worth watching, it's just a political hit piece Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 09/12/23 Full Review Jason B I wanted to watch the documentary to hear about the Hulk Hogan trial, I feel like it was a bait and switch. Only half of the movie was about hogan, the movie was moreso a propaganda piece about "poor us", were talking about a group that thought it was ok to post a sex tape that was taken and sold without one of the parties knowledge. Then to try and sway people to their side in the doc by tying the distrust in media to Donald Trump. The second half of the doc was playing on peoples hate for trump. This almost felt like 2 different documentaries in one when it takes a complete right turn. It's very hard to feel sorry for a group that has ruined people's lives on the front page in bold, then print retractions in a tiny paragraph and bury it at the end of the paper. Maybe if I would have watched this when it came out I would have loved it, now that it's way beyond "covid" and some of the dust has settled its easy to see that it's just another way that they are deflecting any responsibility from themselves and putting it on trump and his "fake news" bs. I don't like trump, didn't vote for him, never will but it just seemed super lazy writing and deceptive. I wouldn't tell people not to watch it, that's something you'd have to see for yourself, just because I didn't like it doesn't mean others won't love it. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 08/21/23 Full Review Boris H I have no idea why this documentary was made. Grasping at straws and seeing if it sticks. This should have been on VICE TV Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 12/19/22 Full Review torin f Makes some interesting cultural connections in telling the Gawker story, but then morphs into a heavy-handed free press advocacy piece that smacks a little of propaganda, despite the important message. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review mark b Absolutely hilarious - watch the people who created cancel culture squeal and cry when they are beaten at their own game. They would have loved to see Hulk Hogan "cancelled" over some bs, but then when THEY end-up getting cancelled they look at the camera with surprised Pikachu face and cry victim. The obvious lunacy is the crying about "free-speech" - again from the very same people whose motus operandi is to silence and censor others. As a documentary this is the typical lunacy we've all grown to hate the corporate, globalist "media" for, but as a comedy or as a revenge flick, there's great satisfaction to be had. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member What a shitty doc! Love to know how the "disinformation" agency will say about this. Terrible! Just terrible! Alissa Wilkinson Vox Nobody Speak builds a damning, convincing case that journalism needs protecting. Rated: 3.5/5 Jun 23, 2017 Full Review Owen Gleiberman Variety What the film offers is evidence of a pattern, the shadows of a disturbing trend that add up to a warning: If we, as a society, don't push back against the chipping away of the freedom of information, it's only going to get worse, until it eats us alive. Jun 23, 2017 Full Review Brian Tallerico RogerEbert.com It has the feel of a late-night conversation at a college party, full of good ideas but lacking focus. Rated: 2.5/4 Jun 23, 2017 Full Review Louisa Moore Screen Zealots Objectivity and freedom of the press is one of the foundations on which our country was based, and its ability to be controlled by those with deep pockets and influential authority is flat out alarming. Rated: 3/4 Oct 10, 2018 Full Review Morgan Rojas Cinemacy Watching Knappenberger's documentary will hopefully raise awareness about the state of jeopardy independent journalism is currently in and possibly prevent a situation like Gawker's from happening to another outlet.
