09/24/2009 Very theatrical and the music was played live on the set. Imagine Bernadette Lafont and Geraldine Chaplin as pirates, living on an island, lost in the altantic, and Chaplin bound to avenge the death of her brother killed by the merciless Giulia (Lafont). See more 04/02/2008 The most theatrical Rivette I've seen thus far (complete with Act # inter-titles!), and one of the most bizarre films I've seen. It's an anachronistic gynocentric pirate film that combines avant garde theater and Jacobean revenge play. It's shot in gorgeous eurotrash cinematography by William Lubchansky.
