Robert, a Polish immigrant working at a fish factory in Norway, has come to earn money to pay off his mother's debts. Robert realizes he has feelings for his colleague Ivar. For fear of losing his position within a group of Poles at the factory, he hides his feelings, especially when it turns out that Ivar is doing vogue and is an aspiring drag queen.

Mr. Milkjowski, who can be quite charismatic at times, is also a fine actor. You’ll be significantly concerned for his Robert’s happiness throughout. . . Norwegian Dream will an incentive for many more to be honest about their LGBTQI lifestyle.

Polish director Leiv Igor David takes an earthy, almost documentary-style approach, observing scenes through the protagonist's eyes as he opens up to his own truth. It's a familiar story, but carries a strong emotional kick.

Interesting approach to migrant laborers working in a salmon factory in Norway. Well-acted, but somehow the jargon of multiple languages and some stilted editing gets in the way. 'Robert' played by Hubert Milkowski, steals the show.

Synopsis
