Audience Member aber brachte mir eine neue erkenntnis über die amerikaner und ihr verhältniss zu kindern Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 01/26/23 Full Review Audience Member Well... how & from where to start... This flick was generally more than adequate. Although, being a novel adaptation in premise, I still wonder the necessity to include 5 totally unrelated stories & characters in the same movie. Unfortunately, a couple outta 5 were not that interesting, quite a dragging indeed, Christine & Cat, Ellen & Felix for example; whilst some was underdeveloped, like Marion's story. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/04/23 Full Review Audience Member A fantastic film, and my favourite of the 2008 Festival of German Films in Sydney. While it can be seen as depressing, I found it a very moving and fascinating exploration of the issues of the inability to communicate with those nearest to you and a general feeling of rootlessness [which I can identify with]. There are moments of humour, but to me the film definitely tended towards the melancholic. But this is true to life: there are struggles, failures, concerns...and I thought these were all wonderfully shown. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/09/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
