Danny Bowes RogerEbert.com It's a tale of a guy who works really hard to be good at basketball, and who everybody seems to really like. And that's all it needs to be. Rated: 3/4 Jul 10, 2015 Full Review Chris Vognar Dallas Morning News The Perfect Shot might not be the perfect movie, but it's still a worthy profile of the defining Dallas sports star of this generation. Rated: B+ Jul 9, 2015 Full Review Brian Costello Common Sense Media Inspiring docu on NBA star has some salty language. Rated: 4/5 Oct 25, 2016 Full Review Tom Meek Paste Magazine For such a rah-rah career-capping fist bump, The Perfect Shot offers enough surprises, insights and revelations to be more than just a Sports Center highlight reel. dustin d Dirk Nowitzki is an undeniably hard worker who paid the dues for his success, and comes off as a genuinely good guy. But this documentary is also undeniably one-sided. It works as an exploration for the ingredients to success, even if you're not interested in basketball. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Interesting look into the life of The Big German. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/23/23 Full Review Audience Member Not a totally interesting documentary. But hey, it's the Dunking Deutschman! Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/04/23 Full Review Audience Member The perfect Dirk documentary. #mffl Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/19/23 Full Review Audience Member An excellent movie about Dirk Nowitzki, my favorite basketball player on the Dallas Mavericks. This movie/documentary explores Dirk's transition from a boy playing basketball in Germany to a man playing in the NBA. Along side Dirk for the transition is Holger, Dirk's constant companion and coach. Holger is part genius, part eccentric. This is their story of developing "The Perfect Shot" through science, physics, and athleticism. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/08/23 Full Review Audience Member I love Dirk and after watching this I feel like I understand him better than ever. I hope we can give him another run.
