I resonated with this movie because it reminds me of how kids used to be back in the days before social media and when kids were just kid, before they became so disconnected. It wasn't a typical Ben Stiller movie where your going to be laughing the whole time but its still very good. The boys did a marvelous job acting in my opinion and I am very disappointed with all the people calling them rotten or bad. Hello they are country boys!!! They are not some city kids who are raised by pretentious, conforming parents. Kids today only want to stare at a screen, text, be on social media,lie about where they are after school and are participating in adult behavior. These were innocent kids with actual original personalities. I liked this film and the message, yes it was predictable but still worth the watch. See more Jay W @RT52162311 Dec 30 By the 5-minute mark of the movie, you know exactly where this story is going. This is every Hallmark Christmas movie cliche premise. Ben Stiller is a no-nonsense businessman on the verge of making a very important deal. Before doing the business deal he just has to sign off on this family of four trouble-making kids. But uh oh, looks like he has to take care of these 4 awful kids for a stretch of time. I wonder if the time he spends with the kids will make him change his ways. Artistic, I didnt really rock with it a 100%, but the film at least tries things. My main problem with the movie is the pacing. The character shifts from both the kids and Ben Stiller's character take not enough time for it to be believable, but the actual pacing of the movie is so slow. The first forty-five minutes of the movie are agonizingly slow, and while it gets better as the film goes on, that's not a reasonable excuse for such a bad start.
