Ed Gonzalez Apollo Guide This lacklustre effort is a disappointment even to its B-movie predecessors. Rated: 19/100 Jul 24, 2001 Full Review Stefan Birgir Stefans sbs.is I despise when rape is used in films like these to add some kind of danger or character development, and since our protagonist is a beautiful woman, the dinosaur scenes are just filler between those rape or attempted-rape scenes. Audience Member This master piece of a film, makes me cry with how great it is. It will leave you wanting more! We need a toy line, and a sequel. Any merchandise. Go see it, do yourselves a favor. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/16/23 Full Review Audience Member Anyone that's considering watching this movie knows what's up. Either you're a connoisseur of bad movies or a Troma completest (you sick twisted soul). It's a very bad movie without doubt but I found it entertaining enough on its own merits despite the many obvious flaws. For some reason, the terrible overdubbing was as mesmerizing as the typical early 90s ambient soundtrack music constantly being played in the background of an otherwise mess of a film. The storyline is decent enough to keep you mildly interested with the odd, if unconvincing, characters are up to god knows what. I think you might have to be eating specially baked brownie mixtures for this one in order to get through it. Or at least a six-pack, but a hard 12er for the serious drinkers. At least everyone involved knows that this is no good, but it's not terrible either. They tried. Which is more than I can say for many blockbuster efforts such as say, DRAGONSLAYER or BATTLESHIP. Oh, but the worst part of it all is that there are only one set of boobs shown once and they're not worth it, which is a bit of a letdown for a movie with a title containing "Nymphoid" in it. But it is better than most softcore porn. It's a tossup. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/17/23 Full Review Audience Member The title and trailer give the impression that this is a camp, cheap, trashy One Million Years BC knockoff. What's actually happened here is that Troma's come into possession of a hideously boring post-apocalyptic non-action movie (with, it must be said, some pretty good stop motion dinosaurs and miniature effects) and tried to pitch it as a comedy by changing the title and adding a funny voiceover to the the first five minutes. After those five minutes are up, good luck making it much further - it's meandering, pointless, boring and has no story or characters to speak of. The use of miniature effects to give the thing a bigger scope than its tiny budget would normally allow might be of interest on a purely technical level, but that's all it has going for it. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 02/24/23 Full Review Audience Member I couldn't have hoped for more Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/30/23 Full Review Audience Member A cinematic experience that words can't even capture! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/31/23 Full Review Audience Member This Troma Team tripe really does plumb the depths of spectacular shitness. I admit the stop motion visuals are fairly amusing but they simply can't make up for the lazy efforts in every other department, especially the inexcusably disturbing lack of any nymphoiding! I enjoyed the teaser trailer a lot, and to think this is from the boys who kindly presented the world with The Tox Box. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/05/23 Full Review Read all reviews
