They were rock's Marsalis brothers, advancing and embodying their own highly selective idea of a canon. ryan e Amazing, great insight into the band! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member A marvellous well assembled documentary about one of the greatest bands of all time. Which features about the Gallagher's childhood and so much more. It discusses the bands downfall due to their crazy antics and what went on behind the scenes. and it also discusses the rise of the band on how they came together and how they actually created some of the greatest songs of all time. I would definitely recommend, Supersonic (2016), if you're interested in wanting to know a lot more about the behind the scenes of the band, Oasis and how they formed together. Or even if you're a huge fan of Oasis. It's honestly worth the watch. 26 Sep 2021 Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/20/23 Full Review william k OK documentary gives a good overview of the band's history for the uninitiated, but it's mainly aimed at the fan base for an audience. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review razvan p learned that noel is a talented dope guy.. and liam is just talented. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member An insight into the highs and lows of being part of one of the greatest rock bands of all time. A one to watch for all music fans. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/10/23 Full Review Audience Member Laying my cards on the table right from the start, I do not like the music of Oasis and find Noel Gallagher an utterly repellant human being. He and his brother represent everything I detest about some men in that they are big-headed, arrogant and incredibly rude, seeming to lack any sense of vulnerability or humility. However, as a band, Oasis had an incredible impact on the UK music scene in the 1990s and, for this reason if nothing else, this movie makes interesting viewing. It is a fascinating documentary (although very one-sided) and gives a good account of the way in which the band formed and rose to fame. It doesn't shy away from the excesses of the band with frank discussions of the drug taking and bad behaviour that surrounded the band in their heyday. It also begins to expose the cracks, rivalries and splits that destroyed the group but I feel that there is much more to be told and the movie stops before the final days of the band so we never get the full picture. I still want to hear more about how the sibling rivalry between Noel and Liam turned into the all out war and hatred that now defines the brothers.
