After successfully robbing five casinos in one night, Danny Ocean and his crew of thieves have big problems. Despite pulling off one of the biggest heists in Las Vegas history, the members of the gang have already spent much of the money they stole. Casino owner Terry Benedict demands that Ocean return the money, plus millions more in interest. Honestly? The worst heist movie I’ve seen on a while. Some parts are fun, like Julia Roberts playing herself, and the beginning is alright. But the end is anticlimactic, half the characters aren’t even used, there isn’t some big project that they prepare for, just a small bit at the end. Half the movie is just them messing around and it doesn’t feel like anything is really happening. The French theif’s heist is short and unrealistic and the whole movie os just a mess

I think this movie is absolutely not deserving of the low critical rating. Is it as good as the first? Absolutely not, but this is about as good as ensemble comedy filmmaking can get.

I understand where the low rating comes from; coming off of a movie where every single frame plays a key role to a love story, mixed with a heist, mixed with a Tarantino-like story telling, it can be really jarring and confusing at times. Though, when you know how it all ends and re-watch, that's when the appreciation really sets in. This one is definitely the middle child of the Oceans series, and it shows, but I still love it as much as I do 11 and 13.
