Susan D @SUSUD Feb 7 I started watching it again to see what I missed, but after reading other people's reviews, it's clear that it's just bad. It is completely unintelligible to me who anyone is, what is happening to them and when, because most of the movie is in flashbacks. I can't even tell what character has what name and one site I looked up to see the cast had Luke with Molly as a couple, but that is not correct. As far as I can tell, Stephen is with Molly! Luke is with Emma - am I wrong???!! What the hell - do I care?!! I just can't, better to go outside for a walk. See more David Lee K Dec 10 This movie isn’t slow, it’s stationary. It’s so uneventful that at several points I genuinely wondered if my TV had paused itself out of a form of self-defense. I’ve seen loading screens with more character development. The plot (I use that word under protest) meanders like someone threw a highschool script and a half-written college comedy into a blender, forgot to hit "blend," and just served the ingredients raw. It’s like The Break-Up, Neighbors 2, and a beige wall had a love child, and then that child grew up to disappoint its entire family. The cinematography is 95 minutes of shaky closeups so tight you’ll know every pore these characters have but still know absolutely nothing about who they are or why you should care. And what about the random college kids? Why are they there? Are they lost? Did they wander in from a different movie? Should we call someone? Anything would be more useful than funding this cinematic beige fog. Don't spend time or money on this! See more Jacqueline B May 18 At one point, a character asks another character, “What did you guys talk about?” And he responds wistfully, “I don’t really know.” That should have been the synopsis of this movie. Truly nothing happens. It’s like someone copied and pasted the scripts of The Breakup and Neighbors 2 into ChatGPT and said, “but make it utterly soulless and humorless”. It’s like a 95-minute opening scene comprised almost entirely of shaky closeup shots of couples and also, for some reason, random college kids. I’ll be thinking about this movie for a while, mostly wondering what the $6 I spent to rent it is up to. See more Read all reviews
