Claire Clauster (Michelle Pfeiffer) is the glue that holds her chaotic, lovable family together every holiday season. From perfectly frosted cookies to meticulously wrapped gifts, no one decks the halls quite like Claire. But this year, as her grown kids and distracted husband get swept up in their own seasonal dramas, they make one crucial mistake: they forget their mom. By the time they realize she's missing, Claire's already set off on a festive adventure of her own -- one that doesn't involve cooking, cleaning, or coordinating anyone else's chaos. Critics Consensus

Stuffing a whole lot of talent into a puny stocking, Oh. What. Fun.'s murky holiday spirit and distracting product placement too often weigh down an appealing cast.

It makes audiences wish for the slightly darker version simmering beneath the surface, instead of the one with a Norman Rockwell-esque, shellacked sheen and rushed resolutions. Go to Full Review

Oh, What. Crap. This lump of coal in our holiday stocking entraps Michelle Pfeiffer and is flat, stilted, lazy and so stretched out with Xmas clichés that you want to scream, bah-humbug Go to Full Review

Laney R S @LaneyRS 2h So the movie was incoherent. But I liked it because it actually looked like a movie. The lighting, the house etc. It reminded me of movies before they all were lit like YouTube videos/soap operas. Visually it's in the vein of The Family Stone. I'll put it on again just for the atmosphere. (Jason Schwartzman is always delightful to see, and the guy who played the brother was funny.) See more Brad P @massachusetts2025 2h It’s a feel-good holiday comedy that reminds us to appreciate the people who make the magic happen. If you’re looking for something light, humorous, and heartwarming to stream on Prime Video, this is definitely worth the watch! See more Kelly N 4h Cute, funny at times Christmas movie. Michelle Pfeiffer is great as always. See more Katherine P @Katherinepete 4h Good things about this movie- the house is so fun! I love design and the house and costumes were very nicely done. Great cast- love Michelle and Felicity as actors, but seriously this script did not do them justice. Everything else about this movie totally missed the mark. Most of the actors don't seem to understand normal family dynamics. The writers had some great ideas but seriously, Hollywood is making the dads look moronic (but somehow they make tons of money?? So confusing and unrealistic.) no matter how good the overall idea for a movie is, if you don't understand family dynamics or genuine family relationships you shouldn't be writing a script for movie like this. Also, are you trying to tell moms that they should walk out on their family if they don't feel appreciated and forgotten? Because that isn't good, helpful, or "heartwarming". Just be real. I mean, don't you want people to rewatch this movie every Christmas?? I certainly won't.
