Marta Barber Miami Herald One of Lombardi's finer films. Rated: 3.5/4 Jan 30, 2004 Full Review Robin Clifford Reeling Reviews Everything ties up neatly, in the end, and I came away both entertained and educated in another country's recent and controversial history. Rated: B+ Nov 10, 2003 Full Review Laura Clifford Reeling Reviews Lombardi juggles his strands, Magnolia style, his characters making rich commentary on the state of their country at a given time. Audience Member This is not the correct synopsis. This is a movie about the corrupt government of Peru in the 90's. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/25/23 Full Review Audience Member A rather interesting subject for me personally, though the methods used by the director/screenwriters were a bit too out there to fully follow during the first half or so. It did all fall into place, though, and the political commentary combined with the side storytelling made for a compelling watch. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/30/23 Full Review Audience Member Great Peruvian movie about the corruption during the Fujimori's government. Six interesting stories with good acting. Good because it shows the effects of the corruption in different kinds of people from different social classes. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/06/23 Full Review Audience Member Powerful, gritty, real Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/20/23 Full Review Read all reviews
