Synopsis
In 1948, the Olympic Games return to London after a 12-year absence following the cancellations of the 1940 and 1944 games due to World War II. With the war three years gone, and the world's nations ready to participate once again, this documentary captures the thrilling victories and crushing defeats of the best athletes on earth as they valiantly compete against one another to claim the gold in their chosen sports, in honor of their respective countries.
