Nella Fitzgerald Shadow and Act Well-conceived and skillfully executed. Jan 23, 2017 Full Review Tatiana Craine Village Voice Riley doesn't portray this fellowship of black athletes as victims, but as pioneers proving themselves against white supremacy behind enemy lines. And yet this doc also pulls them back down to earth. Aug 8, 2016 Full Review Owen Gleiberman Variety Draper paints affecting thumbnail portraits of athletes like Ralph Metcalfe, a slightly older sprinter who became a role model for Owens, and Howell King, a boxer who... was forced, for no good reason, to do his qualifying bout a second time. Aug 8, 2016 Full Review Sarah Boslaugh Playback:stl Draper makes good use of interviews and archival materials, even if the voice-of-God narration and emphasis on detailing the political context sometimes make Olympic Pride feel like an educational film for high school students. Rated: 6/10 Nov 3, 2016 Full Review Read all reviews

Georgan G Human history in the making. A must see for buffs of world history, social reform, Black history, Women's history and those who just like learning something important. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/17/23 Full Review Audience Member Vote was 56 to 58 not to boycott the NAZI sponsored games. It turned out to be the best call for not only disproving the theory of Aryan white supremacy but to undermine its prejudice & segregation in the US & around the world.
