In this adaptation of Shakespeare's Othello set in India, half-caste bandit Omkara Shukla (Ajay Devgan) abducts his lady love, Dolly Mishra (Konkona Sen Sharma), from her family. Thanks to his cleverness, he gets away with the kidnapping. A conspiracy, however, forms against him when he denies his right-hand man, Langda Tyagi (Kareena Kapoor), a promotion. Ultimately, this plot threatens not only his relationship with Dolly, but their lives and those of their associates as well.

Some great performances from Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan, Viveik Oberio, Konkana Sen Sharma and Deepak Dobriyal. All of them seemed to have stretched out of their comfort zones. Decent adaptation of Shakespeare's "Othello" - good dialogues and music. Unfortunately, leaves the audience upset: tragedy. Impressed with Vishal Bhardwaj's filmmaking. Bollywood could do with more such movies like this.

"Sharat ghodo pe lagate hai kathor. Shero pe nahi." Vishal Bharadwaj and William Shakespeare is a very uncanny yet enjoyable combination. And what a performance by Saif Ali Khan.

According to me the best Vishal Bhardwaj movie ever and also hats off to him to make this kind of serious cinema with popular actors. The best part about movie is the way Bhardwaj brings every actor out of his comfort zone and extracts top notch performances. Saif Ali Khan delivers his career best performance as menacing LangdaTyagi, Konkana Sen Sharma is always awesome and Ajay Devgan is just too brilliant in his titular role. Great music, flawless screenplay and raw camera work makes Omkara a cult classic in coming years. Only thing that bothered me was that strong UP dialect but with subtitles those dialogues sounded equally kickass.

A brilliant star cast . Shakespeare's Othello is being adapted here and the movie is most promising. Saif is full of talent, the movie is just so good from the start till end. Ajay's silent character as like in Company once again. Overall movie is great to watch.
