Boyd van Hoeij european-films.net [A] simple message and inspired performances from its child actors barely keep this long and at times preachy film from drowning in its own melodrama. Dec 6, 2005 Full Review Read all reviews

Audience Member While there's something undeniably entrancing about the story telling, it's a tenuous spell that's broken too often, either by melodramatics or sentimentality. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/20/23 Full Review Audience Member The film is a shockingly perfect metaphor for a young man's coming of age, not just physically, but also emotionally. This is a hard film to watch, but something that humanizes immigrants and the growing problem of trafficking to an insurmountable level. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/03/23 Full Review Audience Member Very watchable drama about one boys response to the refugee problem in Italy Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/29/23 Full Review Audience Member A possible story in that strange bridge between Europe and Africa/Asia called Italy. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/18/23 Full Review Audience Member A wealthy child is thrown into a cruel experiment where all his beliefs are turned upside down Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/17/23 Full Review Audience Member Another Giordana film that didn't disappoint me. I have to admit that the end left me a bit puzzled, but still the whole thing is so well-made and has such a great story that I would recommend this film to anyone.
