Dyer delights in a role that was tailor-made for him. Although he brings plenty of infectious energy to the table, it’s not quite enough to make up for the script’s failure to maintain its thrills through to the end. Go to Full Review

But even with its glaring flaws, the film works primarily because of Danny Dyer – and that’s something I never thought I’d say in a review for one of his films. Go to Full Review

The script strains to create tense situations, and they don't always hold water, so it can be tricky to go along with what happens. But director Brendan Muldowney skilfully maintains the film's insistent momentum. Go to Full Review

Distasteful plot twists pile up, and Jimmy is a very difficult geezer to root for. But Dyer – an actor in the midst of a well-deserved career renaissance – embraces the chaos and plays a strong solo game. Nice dancing, too. Go to Full Review

Mary-Louise L @RT35453030 2h This film held me on edge throughout - a combination of an excellent script and an outstanding performance from Danny Dyer who holds the emotional themes and the tension excellently. See more Rebeca S @RCSanchez 4h I really loved the script. As a writer myself, I know how incredibly hard it is to keep tension going the way this film does with just one actor on screen and a single location. You really have to be one hell of a writer to twist a story the way Peter Howlett does here. I also found the character of Jimmy Banks very interesting, especially in today’s world where it sometimes feels like people avoid taking accountability for their actions. His arc is painful to watch at times, but it feels necessary for the story. Despite the weight of the subject, I thoroughly enjoyed it and the film absolutely flew by for me. See more Kyle P @RT59413270 6h It's rare to see such a brave approach to a film these days. Huge respect to Danny Dyer in this one. A brilliant performance by him in a very difficult setting. He deserves a BAFTA for sure. I laughed, I was caught off guard, and nearly cried. Thoroughly enjoyed this film! See more Darren S @dazzlers125 23h Enjoyed the uniqueness of 1setting and 1character. Stick with it through the middle and the ending is the payoff See more James C @jms138 23h Very intense. One of the best Danny Dyer performances See more Read all reviews
