tom k This one had so much potential. The acting was well-done despite the flawed storytelling and direction. Instead of dealing with the moral question of doing what's necessary for the child, this film lamely explained away all the obvious courses of action and chose to focus on the messed up love triangle between the characters. Very disappointing. 1-1/2 stars, but only for the acting. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Filipino movies should just stay being complicated like this. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/24/23 Full Review Audience Member This is a moving heartwarming drama movie that talks about relationships, loyalty, forgiveness, love and family. The characters were relatable so kudos to the lead actors for a very effective performance they played especially Angel Locsin and Angelica Panganiban who deserves acting awards for their role. Dindong Dantes also gave a commendable performance to merit his Best Actor award in 2012 Metro Manila Film Festival. One More Try has a well-written script despite some angles of the plot were unrealistic and unnecessary. It also has a lot of marked one-liners that were memorably delivered by the casts. The drama of the film delves not just upon relationship and love but also about unwanted feelings of past and forgiveness to eventual acceptance of the way things. The drama is just enough to stir emotions in the film. And I don't find it melodramatic as what other says. The effective performances of the casts and the many takeaway life lessons about family and love from One More Try makes it an enough reason to be highly recommended to watch. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/22/23 Full Review Audience Member ...a lamely-executed and overly problematical melodrama that tried so hard on the first half until it lost its way on the second half. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 01/22/23 Full Review Audience Member Nice handling of emotion packed subject. Plenty of tissues in use thru the theater. Having subtitles a nice addition for star cinema Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/13/23 Full Review Audience Member Minsan kaya tayo nasasaktan kasi may mga gusto tayong hindi nangyayari, may mga pangarap tayong hindi natutupad. Hindi pagkakamali ang magkamali. Ang mahalaga, natuto tayo. Pero yung pangalawang pagkakataon, pwede ka ng pumili. - Jacq Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/15/23 Full Review Read all reviews
