Nick Schager Variety From the outset, writer-director Liz W. Garcia's indie drama plays like a tag sale of cinematic clichés, each one piled haphazardly atop another. adam b Slow and unoriginal, there isn't much going on here other than a couple good performances . Best to avoid Rated 2 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member It is just a dramatic movie more. But it have soul. Isn't a masterpiece but it's the pure vision of it's creator, and that counts in this Commercial World where Hollywood have the dominion if the cinema Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/13/23 Full Review Audience Member Decent, it slow and tediously developing coming of age story. The acting isn't bad and the characters are truly convincing, it just seems the story develops too slow and drags out too much for a movie. Really it's just a story about people coping with life and death. Not much here to get excited about. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/31/23 Full Review Audience Member There's nothing in the film that isn't predictable from the outset, and certainly nothing in Garcia's treatment that offers an especially fresh perspective. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/25/23 Full Review Audience Member A friend of mine got stood up by some jerk, so I went with her in the last minute to the Tribeca film festival. I had no idea what the movie was about. Usually I read about stuff before (like this site). I really really liked it. First of all the story was really good. The writing was really good. The cast's performance was just captivating. I personally love all of those actors. I think they're always good in everything they do because they make you think that those characters are real people. I forgot I was watching a movie. At first I wasn't sure what was going on and where the movie was leading to but once I figured out what really happened to the main characters, it all made sense. I give it 4 stars because it isn't perfect because it took a while to get what truly happened in those girls' past (I'm not going to spoil this). Something positive came from my friend being stood up! My friend loved it too because it a was a well made artistic distraction. Here's to bad dates! LOL.
