The fires themselves are frighteningly well staged, and by the film's conclusion the courage and dedication of these firemen has been amply demonstrated. It's a pity that the film that tells their story wasn't a little less clunky. Go to Full Review

Downriver R @Downriver 1d Great Cast Great overall movie drama with some thriller and a little comedy thrown in here and there See more Tatted N @TattedNerdStreams 2d This movie is powerful with an incredible cast to tell an important story. I went in not knowing the story, I was left devastated. But the movie did its job, informing us of the real struggle and fight that goes into protecting wildlife, homes, and so much more. Respect to those men. See more Brian D @Brianwd Jan 6 88%. 1/2/26. I think I saw this right when it came out but didn't remember it. Awesome film with highs and lows. They did a good job the character development. Liked seeing Miles' Teller character go from a junky to turning his life around for his daughter. Enjoyed seeing him struggle in his initial training and the other firefighters give him a hard time knowing his background to by the end them really having a strong bond. Cool to see them get the status of hotshot crew. Liked the side stories with Brolin and Connelly's relationship as childless parents and the struggle of deciding whether they want kids with his career choice. And fun to learn how Brolin struggled with addiction similar to Teller. Then all culminates in such a sad ending. Good cast, great backstory and character development really makes you feel bonded to the crew. Devastating ending. 5/5 rewatch See more Mitchell S @Mitchstur Jan 4 Good cinematography, a solid cast, an emphasis on the stakes our firefighting heroes have to face, and character development. I'd say this biopic burns hot! See more Leaburn O Dec 13 It’s a very sad story even though you know what’s coming. A film more about community than fire. Watched on DVD. See more Marie A @Marie83 Dec 9 I just watched this movie. In tears here. Thankful for these brave men. And their families. Your husbands and dads are hero’s. Always remember. This is true Americans.
